How do I know my information is confidential?
Our app is hosted in the most secure cloud servers. Every information shared with a professional or on the app cannot be shared and will not be made public at any point. Data security is guranteed with the latest google cloud platform servers.
What is sexual abuse?
There are various forms of sexual abuse including: Rape, Sex Slavery, Touching a person without their permission, Verbal abuse e.g. sexual compliments, Exposing Genitals to others, Sharing sexual content through apps, Offensive gestures, Incest, Sharing private sex recordings of a partner.
What if I dont have a smart phone?
In case you do not have a smart phone, you can reach us on call or SMS on +254 727536635 or +254 700 405 589. We will call you back if you beep or send us a call back request. In case you do not have a phone near you, walk into a health center and ask an attendant to direct you to the mamba24 website.
How can children report?
Children can report cases of abuse, bullying or violence at home through a school social worker or a teacher assigned to handle guidance and counselling in school. This should be a friendly and approachable individual who children can trust.
Can a non registered resident / refugee get help?
Yes! You can be helped to report and document your case under special conditions. We keep upto date wiht the latest developments on your rights and our legal advisors will help you access representaion.
Can I get shelter when i report an abuse case?
We have reached out to several shelters that can provide temporary accomodation for a victim of abuse. This can be shelter for a night, or until an agreed upon time depending on the case being handled. You will be informed about this on your first call with us.
How do you assist sex workers with children?
Sex workers' children are often victims of abuse and their parents don't know. We guide them to free therapy and testing (STDs) where they are taught how to identify and report abuse. Sex workers get training and are encouraged to form welfare groups and invest.
Why the name Mamba24?
Mamba is the nick name of NBA legend Kobe Byrant. He was an icon of mental strength who believed there is no limit to what a human can do if you put your mind to it.His jersey number was 24. Mamba is also a swahili word for crocodile which symbolizes strength.
